Guide for Authors

Guide for authors

Type of articles

Original Articles are intended for the presentation of original scientific findings. There is no strict page limit, however, the paper length and content must be appropriate. Extensive tables, figures, etc should be submitted in the Supplementary Information file.

Review Articles can be submitted to present the existing state of knowledge on a particular field or sub-specialty. However, authors interested in writing a review paper for the journal are invited to send an abstract of their proposed review article to Editorial Office. The abstract should justify the need for this review and also outline the content.

General Information

  1. Manuscripts must be written in English. Manuscript has been 'spell-checked' and 'grammar checked'.
  2. All manuscripts should be composed of original text that has not been published before; manuscripts may be subjected to a plagiarism check. Submission of a paper to this journal implies that the manuscript has not been published before, or under consideration for publication at any other journal.
  3. The manuscript must be accompanied by a Cover Letter. The Cover Letter should contain the following items:

  • Full manuscript title
  • Name and complete contact information of the corresponding author
  • Name(s) of any other author(s)
  • Significance and novelty of the work
  • A statement of conflict of interest: the corresponding authors are required to confirm whether they or their co-authors have any conflicts of interest to declare, and to provide details of these. It is the Corresponding author’s responsibility to ensure that all authors adhere to this policy. Examples of potential conflicts of interest are employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other funding. Potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed at the earliest possible stage and if the manuscript is accepted, conflict of interest information will be communicated in a statement in the published paper.
  • Three potential reviewers including their email addresses. However, the editorial office decides which reviewers will be invited.
  1. The Manuscript is submitted in the editable format of word processing file.
  2. Manuscripts should be subdivided into the following sections:
  • Title page
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Material and methods
  • Results and discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments
  • References

Authorship

Give the full first name and surname of each author. Do not include academic titles. List the affiliation(s) of the author(s) including zip code, and email address, to which correspondence can be addressed. Use the affiliation at which the work was performed. It is generally assumed that all persons listed as co-authors of a manuscript have made substantial contributions to the work reported.
